The Benefit of Branding: ncrease your sales and promote your product by building a solid brand

Thursday, December 31st, 2009

Without a doubt you’ll agree that the key to successful selling is promotion. You need to get your name and your product out there. You want the press, your colleagues and your prospective clients to know exactly what you can do for them. To do this, you must build your brand.

Your brand is more than just your product name, your catchy tag line or your well-designed web site. It’s also your credibility in the marketplace. Your brand is, simply, the way your customers perceive you and your product.

Stefanie Hartman, a marketing strategist who helps high-profile clients build a solid brand identity for themselves, explains branding this way. “When it comes to branding you have two choices: brand yourself or brand your value. It’s true that people don’t buy products; people by people, and so it may seem like branding yourself is the obvious choice. However, that can backfire.”

When you brand yourself, you become the main attraction. You are the face of your business – the only face – and clients will not settle for a stand in. This means that when your business becomes successful, you won’t be able to take time off. You’ll have to be everything to everyone, all the time. However when you choose to brand your value – that is, the information or the product that you’re offering – your schedule opens right up. You still get the recognition as an expert, but the product you’re selling becomes the main attraction. People will want the product first; you become secondary. A successful branding strategy is one that allows you to stay in the background. If you’ve worked hard to build your brand and your product is selling well, don’t make the mistake of thinking that you’re finished. A successful sales person is always looking for ways to increase sales. Never think that you’re at the top.

“If your marketing person tells you that all you need to do is get your book to number one and you’ll be all set, you should run or stop paying them,” says Hartman. “Here’s why. A book is a lead generator. It will make you money, earn you recognition and credibility, get you new customers and get you press. But it’s not your main moneymaker.”

To make more money you need to increase sales. Develop a CD-Rom or DVD seminar series, give lectures or write ebooks or reports that compliment your primary product. By selling these other items, you not only increase sales, you solidify your brand. Branding is something that never ends; you’re never finished building it. You always have more to gain, new clients to reach, new goals to reach. Your brand will get you there.

The secret to becoming financially successful in today’s marketing is to brand your value, position yourself as an expert, and exploit that expertise. Believe in what you’re selling and offer your customers an outstanding value. “The important thing to remember,” says Hartman, ” is that you don’t have to sell out to sell. You can build your brand and establish yourself in the marketplace and still be an ethical person.”

Braving the Courts

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

It’s the fourth week in June and that can mean solely one thing. Wimbledon is present! It’s the 14 days in the yr when people can find their tennis rackets, find their addidas attire and endure the inescapable rain to brush up on their back hand and volley. Man and Van Wimbledon is dedicated to supplying the most competent and economical service acquirable even when SW19 satiated with tourists. Man and Vans, London’s leading light removal service, is established in South West London and actually is happy to assist its neighbours with any light removals they might have. Man with Van Wimbledon may be too occupied to enter the courts this summer but here at Man and Vans head office we’re highly overexcited about Wimbledon’s new Centre Court protective roof. Although Man and Van Wimbledon will do work in the rain, Rafael, Roger and Andy have never been too enthusiastic about braving heavy rain. luckily this summer there’ll be no need for Cliff Richards’ services as, from the 17th May, Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Association has been using its new retractable roof. Health and Safety tests on the court were led by the names Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, Tim Henman and Kim Clijsters, who revelled in an exhibition game of mixed doubles as the inevitable rain patted the roof as it retracted.

Glasgow Set for Huge Office Development

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Developers have unveiled plans for a £90 million commercial complex in the heart of Glasgow. Set to transform the Broomielaw district, currently known as the International Financial Services District (IFSD). Atlantic Square is set to be a major financial hub for Glasgow’s city centre, and will incorporate two office buildings, a large hotel with 130 guest bedrooms, conference centre and even a health club.

Glasgow based developers, the Capella Group; believe the centre will generate two and a half thousand jobs, providing a big boost for the city itself. Final approval is now being sought for Atlantic Square, already nicknamed, “Wall Street on the Clyde“.

Top UK companies, including Barclays Bank and Direct Line Insurance have already generated thousands of jobs in the International Financial Services District. A billion pound scheme, started in 2001, which planned to boost the previously run down area of Broomielaw Quay, over a period of ten years. Chief Exec for the group, Jim Fitzsimons, knows the IFSD has already been “tremendously successful” and believes that Capella’s new plans will “further enhance” the city’s commercial profile.

Despite the obvious and painful downturn in the UK’s economy, Fitzsimons believes its advantage of being “better placed” will mean the 227.000square feet of desk space will be booked within the next year. Better pedestrian access will ensure the development is well connected with the surrounding district. For more info on desk space Glasgow, click here.

The A Listed faade of Broomielaw Quay will be preserved, and a fabulous new covered court yard will span between James Watt Street and York Street. It’s hoped, providing a vibrant meeting place for locals, visitors and workers to relax.

Office Space up for Grabs in London

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

The London office market is experiencing a downturn just like every large city in Europe so there is new initiative, which will hopefully provide London with a distinct advantage. With the Olympic game’s fast approaching London is in a better position than most to reverse any down trend.

Boris Johnson, the current Mayor of London, has set up an agency known as, Think London, and this initiative includes offering free office space to foreign business. This was launched in Cannes, a French resort which was hosting a property conference. Mayor Johnson confirmed that this space would be for a one year term, and yes, it would be for free.

Financial backing for the project is coming from the London Development Agency amongst others and has wide spread support politically. The dynamic Mayor Boris is seen as a great advocate for London during these difficult times.

Recent figures show that over 14% of office space in London is sitting empty. Large sums are lost as rental rates decrease and the aim of Think London is to retain companies after the twelve months of free rent come to an end. The potential of running a business in this great city will be experienced in full. Click here for a website with info on desk space London.

But there is even more to this new radical plan. Other tempting offers include a personal advisor assigned to each individual company, who will be dedicated to working with businesses and meeting their every need. Advisors will have their knowledge on the intricacies of setting up in the most vibrant European city today.

Effective Websites are Now Beyond Important for Business

Monday, June 30th, 2008

A company’s website is more than just a back-up plan to reel in a future client later on. It is an effective tool for monitoring your business and controlling the power between the business and its customer. It’s a tool that is no longer suggested but expected by the consuming public.

Surely there are several people across a large spectrum that can build your company a website; however it is important to choose a professional. Gone are the days, no matter how much you may have missed them, when a simple do-it-yourself site would suffice for a real company. Just because your name and some copy are online does not qualify your business as having a legitimate site.

Working with professionals to literally build a site catered to what you have to offer is the most effective, and it’s a lot more realistic than perhaps once thought. It isn’t about working with a multi-million dollar company that will give you little for a very lot. The design world is far more functional than some start-up business may imagine. There are many opportunities to consult with a design firm in the Inland Empire. A business can consult in person, over the phone, or via email. Clearly it seems like such small steps to gain such an immeasurable profit.
