Scary halloween Masks

December 28th, 2008

There are countless Halloween masks available today. At Halloween specialty stores and online shops, you will find a mask in the likeness of every ghoul, alien, and creepy character of any and every variety. Everyone, from heroes like Spiderman and Superman, to movie bad guys, like Freddy Kruger, The Alien, and Hellraiser’s Pin Head, are available in the form of latex. You will even find Halloween masks of today’s most popular politicians, and masks of obscure characters like, zombie vikings, alien clowns, and mad scientists.

The price of a Halloween mask depends on it’s quality, subject, and the materials used to create it. You can pay anywhere from $30 to $300 and up for a high-quality mask. Expect to pay more for detailed masks of today’s most popular characters from movies and television. Many Halloween masks are collector’s pieces, true works of art — and they are priced accordingly! Masks costing over $500 often include human hair, foam filled heads, and intricate custom paint jobs.

The level of detail and animation in some Halloween masks is truly impressive. Masks are first sculpted by artists. The artist sculpts a head, or a full bust out of clay. A cast of this bust is made, and then that cast is used repeatedly, to make identical latex masks. After that, the masks are painted, and extras like eyeballs, adornments, and hair are added.

When shopping for Halloween masks, remember that some may impair visibility. Also, latex gets hot, so try to say cool while wearing a mask for extended amounts of time!

James writes for Ghoulish Halloween, a site that tries to entertain and inform. For more great Halloween mask ideas, visit our Halloween Masks section.

Halloween Ecards - How To Choose?

December 27th, 2008

Halloween is fun. It is a day of fun. Everybody across all the age groups enjoys Halloween. On such a day, it is fun to send ecards. With so many ecards available, it becomes difficult to get ecards that make you feel good and give joy to the recipients. After all the ecards are supposed to spread joy. Let me tell you how to do this.

Get Free - with so much free content available on the net, it is no use paying for ecards, search for websites that are offering free ecards.

Flash - In this age, to use static small JPG ecards looks little out of place. Look for flash ecards that have lot of movement in them.

Size- Don’t chose very small or very large sizes. Chose sizes that nicely fit in the screen. Your recipient will be able to view the ecard easily and enjoy it.

Music - Use ecards with scary music. The flash with music will add to the fun of Halloween.

Message - chose a service that gives space for putting your message and a notification to you that your ecard has been viewed.

Selection of ecards requires little search if you know what you are looking for. The card size/weight should be small so that the ecard opens easily. The ecard should have a click to view in the beginning. Halloween offers you a grand opportunity to connect with all friends and family members. Send more than one ecard to most of them. The ecards are free. Why not send more? Halloween is fun. Ecards for Halloween add to that fun and make your day really enjoyable.

CDMohatta writes for ecards, greeting cards and online cards. If you are looking for Free ecards that look good and will make the recipient happy, please chose from - Halloween Ecards, Free Birthday ecards, and Free Holiday ecards These are all free for you. Send as many as you wish at no cost.

“Find Out Why You Want to Bargain When You Travel in Foreign Countries!”

December 26th, 2008

Copyright 2006 John Navata

The reality of traveling is that it is quite expensive relative to most people’s incomes. Unless you’re fairly well-off, you won’t be able to travel regularly throughout your life until you master some discount travel techniques. The art of discount travel is more then simply one quick trick, it is an overall approach that you can, and should, apply to every element of your trip. For example, you should explore charter flights and last minute deals, etc. to get the cheapest possible airfare. Once you arrive in a foreign country, you should meet some locals and establish where the cheap places to eat and stay are. Discount travel involves a lot of small things that when applied together result in big savings, and allow even those on moderate budgets to travel regularly and enjoyably.

An important concept to get used to if you want your money to last while you are traveling in a foreign country is that of bargaining. In most foreign countries, and especially those of the second world, barging plays a big part in everyday life, and you will find yourself continually overspending if you don’t participate in it.

Most North Americans are terrible at bargaining, which is not at all their fault: bargaining simply does not play much of a role in our everyday transactions, and except for large purchases like buying a car, and maybe to a lesser extent a house, most of us aren’t used to it - we certainly aren’t used to haggling over small items.

The first thing to understand - and a great discount travel technique - is that in the second world, everything is negotiable, and usually very heavily negotiable. If you start to bargaining, you’ll soon see that the type of bargaining that goes on in other parts of the world is very different from the North American style: people often start with figures that are double or more their desired amount.

The first step in bargaining is to not be in any kind of rush to get in a taxi, or in a hotel room, or to purchase your item. Take the time to ask around, and if you can, find some locals who will (hopefully) give you an idea of a good price. The second thing to keep in mind is you have to be willing to walk away, or at least good at pretending that you’re willing to walk away. Oftentimes you’ll find that by simply showing a lack of interest and willingness to avoid the transaction the price will be lowered, without any need for specific bargaining on your part.

Once you get the hang of bargaining you’ll find it rather easy, and in some cases fun. The main thing to keep in mind when you’re in a foreign land is that your status as a North American will usually label you as rich to locals, even if it doesn’t seem that way to you. If you don’t want to get charged double - or more - for every single thing you do while traveling you’ll have to get used to the idea of bargaining - a key component in an overall strategy towards discount travel.

RV Camping Jobs - Your Ticket To Freedom On The Open Road and The RV Lifestyle

December 24th, 2008

Are you dreaming about life on the open road? You want to take your RV to places you’ve never been before, seeing sights and experiencing events you’ve only imagined. But there’s a major obstacle to your dream: You have to support yourself.

Well, the solution is far easier than you ever imagined. There are three simple steps. First, recognize that you don’t have to be wealthy or have a sizable monthly retirement income flowing in to follow your dream. There are literally thousands of jobs out there waiting on you. These jobs can be found in the very places you are dreaming of visiting. You don’t have to wait until retirement. You can follow the vagabond RV Lifestyle and support yourself right now.

RV campgrounds, whether major chain operators, or small owner-operated campgrounds, always have a need for seasonal workers. Because of the seasonal nature of the work, these employers don’t expect you to be there year after year, although if you do a good job, you’ll be welcome back for the next season.

The jobs will vary from office work to maintenance, gate attendant, construction, meeting and greeting, and activities you may never have thought of. These employers don’t expect you to have a background in campground work. Usually, a willingness to show up and do the work is all that is necessary. Good, dependable workers are highly valued in this industry.

The second step in your pursuit of freedom on the open road is to align your financial requirements to the income you will be earning. The best approach is to totally eliminate debt. Buy a used RV. Sell most of your junk and either save the money or pay off debt.

Finally, you will need to find the job. You can do this by buying any major campground directory and simply calling RV Campgrounds in the area that interests you. A search on the Internet will reveal many employers. You can also subscribe to publications specializing in seasonal job listings.

Most importantly, make the decision. You can pay your way while traveling the open roads and living the life of your dreams. There are thousands of jobs out there. Go for it.

Have A HolidayTo Remember In Galway, Ireland

December 24th, 2008

For a truly unique holiday, try Galway, Ireland for your next vacation. It will prove to be a special time that the whole family will enjoy and have you returning to. Ireland is becoming more and more popular as a vacation spot, and Galway is one of the reasons why.

The island of Ireland is approximately the same size as England or Scotland, and it sits directly to the west of them, with the Irish Sea separating England/Scotland from Ireland. The Atlantic Ocean borders Ireland on the other side and this is where Galway County is - right in the middle of the country surrounded by Galway Bay. Actually Galway City is directly across the island from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. This makes an easy access for tourists in Galway City, to take a short ride over to Dublin for the day, or the evening, or whatever!

While staying in the coastal town of Galway City, a Bed and Breakfast close to the shore might be your best bet. Even though this area is becoming more popular these days, there is still a friendly and convivial atmosphere. If you are not from this area - the accent alone says “friendly” to most vacationers! But first, get situated in one of the several quaint Bed and Breakfasts there or within the county, and then you will be free to explore and enjoy on your own.

The beach of Galway is a great place to relax and let the kids enjoy the sun, water and sand. When they are on vacation all they want to do is have fun! There are walking and biking trails all through the county and along the coast, if you can keep up with them! When everyone decides they are hungry, kids are welcome in most restaurants and pubs, and there are plenty to choose from. By this time, you might enjoy a cold mug of ale, at a relaxing outdoor pub. The Irish like the out of doors, and you will find plenty to do as you tour around the area.

Often there are festivals taking place in the parks and down by Galway Bay. The festivals range in attractions from Art festivals, or Arts and Crafts to simply celebrating the season. Check out the Internet and you can find when these are and put them on your “to-do” list. If you want to investigate the culture side, The Galway Museum will allow you that, but it is mostly a Folk Museum for the surrounding counties. If you really want to make a day of history and art museum hunting, you’ll have to venture to Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Dublin is just a two-hour drive directly across from Galway. And there are also plenty of theaters of stage productions, or you can stay right in Galway and watch one of four movie theaters that are in the county.

Galway is the get-a-way that will be fun for the whole family, or just the two of you who need to get away from it all. Great food and drink, a lovely landscape, friendly folks and plenty to do when you want to sight see! Sounds like a Great way to go!

Flag of Mexico - Dia de la Bandera

December 23rd, 2008

The Flag of Mexico is rich with historic symbolism. The tricolors of green, white and red with the coat-of-arms centered in the white middle stripe were adopted by Mexico following their independence from Spain during the War of Independence in 1821.

There have been changes to the flag during history but the coat of arms has always featured a majestic eagle holding a serpent on top of a cactus. The current coat of arms was designed in 1968 by Helguera. Legend says that the Aztecs, then a nomadic tribe wandering throughout Mexico, were waiting for a sign from the gods telling them were to build their capital city. Their god, Huitzilopochtli told them to search until they found a place where they saw an eagle, devouring a serpent while perched on a prickly pear tree, growing out of a rock submerged in a lake. After wandering for two hundred years, they saw this mythical eagle on a small island in Lake Texcoco and built their capital, Tenochtitlan, where the main plaza in Mexico City is now located.

Over the years the three colors of green, white and red on the flag have remained the same but the meaning of the colors has changed. The green stripe represents Independence from Spain or can signify Hope. The white stripe represents purity of the Catholic faith or Unity. The red stripe represents Heroes blood or Religion.

When the flag of Mexico is paraded in front of a crowd, bystanders raise their right arm, place their hand on their chest parallel to the heart. The hand is flat with the palm facing the ground. This salute is known as the El Saludo Civil de la Bandera Nacional. On February 24 each year a national celebration, Dia de la Bandera, Flag Day is held. This commemorates this day in 1821, when all the factions fighting in the Mexican War of Independence joined together to form the Army of Three Guarantees.

Brought to you by www.FlagWave.com to honor your Mexican heritage.

Gambling Saloon Betting: a Short Guide to the Betting Games Betting Maniacs like to Contest

December 19th, 2008

In case you haven’t understood betting house wagering, then you’ll want to read this…

By common definition a gambling house is a structure that offers gambling. Here, aficionados are invited to take a risk by having a bash at the slot-machines or trying out alternate betting games. Gambling house games may have numerically determined likelihoods included that promise the casino possesses the upper hand over the players.

A legion of gaming establishment games can encourage you to become overly dependent very swiftly. We can consider the notorious one armed bandit, a coin eating apparatus with 3, sometimes more discs that rotate if a lever hitched to it is moved. The machine normally recompenses with reference to a set arrangement of logos perceptible on the display of the instrument. Regretfully, betting house games present an appearance of control, thus conning the gamester: the victim is conceded judgments, but in actual fact they can not really match the player’s overall handicap. This is caused by the the gaming establishment never refunding the full stake as hoped for. This tactic is often noticeable in well known casino games such as Texas hold’em, craps, roulette or blackjack. Seven-card stud poker is doubtlessly a highly trendy casino game. The gamblers, meticulously guarding their either fully or partially guarded hands, wager in a principal pot that is granted to the prevailing gamester blessed with the leading combination of cards. (Of course, the best bluff may well prevail too!)

poker gambling

Resembling Texas hold’em, blackjack is likewise an immensely popular casino game. Most of its renown is grounded in its peculiar mix of chance and talent and decision making, and a system tagged Card Counting. It is a skill by which gambling buffs may actually change the chances of the card game in their interest by both wagering and strategic decisions in agreement with the cards dealt.

“Craps” is a well-known casino pastime utilizing the roll of dice. Bettors will make bets on the result of one roll, or on a succession of spins of 2 dice. In contrast to blackjack, there’s no probable sustainable winning betting system people could apply to bend the odds.

Roulette is another extremely popular casino based pastime as part of which a croupier turns a roulette wheel that has precisely 37 (European roulette) or thirty-eight (as in American roulette) separately tagged compartments in which the ball will then come to a stop, deciding the winning number and the sequences. If the player happens to bet money on a particular number and actually is successful, which is to say they’ve got a lucky hand, the set reward is going to be 35 to one, the wager being returned. Hence in total it’s multiplied by a factor of thirty-six.

Do make a point of being careful for many of these gaming hall gambling pastimes are rightly deemed highly addictive. Certainly far too many lives have been spoilt by uncontrolled gambling + while it definitely feels enjoyable, struggle to restrain yourself.
